Michael is the creator and retailer of KwickScreen, a portable, retractable and printable room divider. Initially intended to serve the acute healthcare industry his product is now also widely used in medical simulation, airports and the hospitality industry.
Michael Korn used his Let’s Go Trade visit to support KwickScreen’s expansion into the US, as it was the company’s fastest growing market. Whilst there he undertook market research and strategic business development activities.
During his visit, Michael gained insight into the relationship between US markets and his product, which enabled him to develop effective marketing approaches and opportunities, as well as analysing potential competitors. In particular, the visit underlined the importance of customer service in US business culture, which will be firmly integrated within the brand.
As a direct result of his LGT visit, Michael generated new sales opportunities, including to provide KwickScreens for a planned hospital in the Bahamas, which has the potential to be the largest deal that the company has ever undertaken.
