The country Programme Manager of Shell LiveWIRE has identified your business as fitting the selection criteria of Let’s Go Trade, and believes that you and your business can benefit from this initiative.
Assessment of Let’s Go Trade applications is the responsibility of Shell LiveWIRE International.
The assessors want to see you exploring opportunities for business innovation and growth, including possible new markets, technologies, supply-chain development, learning and partnerships.
The visit destination must align to the gap or opportunity identified.
Your Shell LiveWIRE Programme Manager will liaise with you to agree a PR statement relating to your successful application in order to publicise details of your success and the support provided to you from Shell LiveWIRE in developing your plan and the outcomes of your visit. Please do not issue any communications on your Let’s Go Trade application or visit until you have agreed the messaging and timings with your Shell LiveWIRE Programme Manager.
If you are unable to undertake your visit, you must inform your Shell LiveWIRE Programme Manager immediately, and return all funding that has been paid to you
Grant funding is available towards the costs of travel and accommodation only. The maximum grant payable is 50% of the travel and accommodation costs only, to a maximum of US $3,000. If your application is successful you will need to provide details of your travel plans, including costs / booking information, as well as evidence of a valid passport, visa (where appropriate) and insurance documents. Invoices and receipts will also be required following the visit. These must be uploaded to the ‘Visit Feedback’ section under 'Other Supporting Documents' section in the 'Applicant Area'.
It is a requirement for your business to plan their visit very carefully, and to ensure you have a thorough understanding of all the implications and responsibilities of your trip. You must book your own comprehensive travel insurances, take health advice before travelling and follow the advice, and organise any visas required. Shell LiveWIRE International requires evidence that all necessary documentation has been arranged. The Indemnity Clause confirms that all travel arrangements are your full responsibility.
Every year, millions of people travel overseas for business, and most do so without any problems. However, we believe that planning is very important to ensure that you can deal with any problems if they do arise. During the planning phase for your visit you will need to ensure you have all relevant and necessary contact details in case you need them whilst travelling. Depending on the nature of the problem, you must contact the relevant organisation to help you resolve matters (e.g. travel agent, insurer, consulate etc.).
After the visit you will be contacted by Shell LiveWIRE International who will keep in touch with you to monitor your progress and success for a period of 24 months, building a case study of the impact of your trip after 12 and 24 months have passed. It is a condition of the Let's Go Trade funding to provide Shell LiveWIRE International with the information they ask for to demonstrate the outcomes of your visit.
